We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and inspirational Fostering Team Manager to lead our dedicated team of Supervising Social Workers and help us continue delivering exceptional outcomes for children and foster families.
About the Role
As our Fostering Team Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role in ensuring that children, young people, and foster carers receive the highest standards of care, support, and professional guidance. You will provide strong leadership to a team of Supervising Social Workers, champion best practice, and ensure compliance with all regulatory, safeguarding, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective leadership, management, and reflective supervision to social work staff.
- Oversee the supervision, support, and ongoing development of foster carers.
- Ensure compliance with fostering legislation, National Minimum Standards, safeguarding requirements, and Ofsted regulations.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, local authorities, and partner agencies to achieve excellent outcomes for children and young people.
- Lead on quality assurance processes, audits, and performance monitoring.
- Contribute to strategic planning, service development, and foster carer recruitment initiatives.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and child-centred practice.
- Support the agency in maintaining its Outstanding standards and reputation for excellence.

About You
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
- Minimum of 3 years' post-qualifying experience within fostering or children's social care services.
- Demonstrable experience of managing, supervising, and developing staff.
- Comprehensive knowledge of fostering regulations, safeguarding legislation, and inspection frameworks.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to motivate teams and build positive professional relationships.
