Founder Associate — Platter
Platter is a digital platform that helps food businesses run more efficiently — bringing buyers, suppliers, orders and data into one hub, and automating the manual admin (order processing, account updates, invoicing) that slows teams down. Built on real-time data and AI.
We're hiring a Founder Associate to work directly with me across the whole business.
This is a broad, hands-on role for a generalist who's strong in product and AI. Three things you'll own:
- Internal flow — improving how we operate across the business, building solutions and automations that make a lean team move faster.
- Product — taking the lead on product alongside me: shaping what we build, translating real customer needs into what ships.
- Customers — leading onboarding and building solutions directly with our customers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Have ~12 months in an early / growth-stage startup
- Are a genuine generalist — comfortable moving between product, ops and customer work
- Have real hands-on experience with AI tools and building things (not just using them)
- Can take an ambiguous problem and turn it into something shipped
- Communicate clearly and take initiative without waiting to be told
