I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You Will Do
- Partner with a technical co-founder to ideate, validate, and build a high-growth startup from the ground up during an intensive 8-week residency.
- Lead the entire go-to-market strategy, from landing the first ten customers to establishing a scalable commercial playbook for your new venture.
- Pitch for inception-stage investment and prepare for rapid scaling using Antler’s dedicated support, network access, and automatic follow-on funding mechanisms.
The ideal candidate
- Proven track record of building GTM from scratch at Seed to Series B venture-backed startups, demonstrating the ability to win customers without a pre-existing playbook.
- High-velocity operator with "founder traits" including relentlessness, first-principles thinking, and the magnetism required to attract talent and early adopters to a new vision.
- Must have the right to work in the UK and the commitment to quit your current role to build a company full-time starting September 2026.
