About Us - Who We Are
Lock Group is a fast-growing group of creative and production businesses, spanning photography and content studios (Lock Studios), post-production and retouching (Ink), talent representation (Canvas), casting (The Line), and our newest venture, ColourWorks — a flagship creative campus opening in London this year. We are expanding internationally, with operations already underway in New York, Amsterdam and Paris. We believe great creative businesses are built by getting the unglamorous details right, as much as the big vision.

Applications
In lieu of a traditional cover letter, please email laura@lock-group.com with subject line “Application: Founders’ Associate”, attaching your CV alongside:
- A concise summary of a time you demonstrated exceptional persistence or strategic thinking to achieve a specific business or project goal.
- In your own words, a summary of what Lock Group does and why you would want to work here.
The Position
This is a newly created role, working directly alongside Tom Warren (CEO) and Sophie Castley (MD), providing high-level executive support and operational precision across the group. You will act as a trusted partner to both founders, curating their time and priorities and serving as a connective thread across Lock Studios, Ink, Canvas, The Line and ColourWorks.
Responsibilities:
- Complex Diary Management: total ownership of two fast-moving, international diaries. You don’t just schedule; you curate Tom and Sophie’s time to ensure focus on the highest-impact initiatives across the group.
- Internal Liaison: acting as a trusted bridge between the founders and the wider Lock Group team, ensuring that commercial projects and partnerships are communicated clearly and move forward with pace.
- Office Management: overseeing the day-to-day running of the founders’ workspace, including meeting room booking systems, ensuring it is well-stocked, well-run and presentable at all times, and coordinating with the wider team on office-related needs.
- Supplier & Tenant Management: owning relationships with key suppliers and contractors across the group, from sourcing quotes to negotiating terms, as well as acting as the primary point of contact for tenants across Lock Group’s properties, handling enquiries, lease matters and day-to-day issues with professionalism and discretion.
- The Room: accompanying Tom and Sophie to key meetings, investor conversations and industry events, observing and synthesising high-level discussions, and ensuring Lock Group’s presence is represented with professionalism and gravitas.
- The Follow-Up: managing post-meeting momentum, including drafting investor updates, board materials and partner correspondence, ensuring follow-ups are immediate, articulate and tailored to the specific audience — whether an investor, landlord or commercial partner.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
