About Talamo
Talamo is building a school assessment platform for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, helping schools respond to a growing crisis affecting 1 in 5 children.
Our platform puts accurate, automated screening assessments directly into the hands of schools, giving them a clearer view of need across pupils, classes and year groups.
We started with dyslexia screening, launching our first test in 2024. Since then, Talamo has grown to over 1,000 schools. From September 2026, we are moving from a single dyslexia screener into a broader suite of digital cognitive screeners. We have created new assessments for maths ability, dyscalculia risk and executive functioning.
Taken together, these assessments help schools understand patterns of SEND need across their setting, supported by new cohort reports that allow them to analyse entire year groups. This makes our new proposition differentiated in the market, particularly as SEND becomes an increasing priority for schools, Ofsted and government policy.
Talamo has now reached an important inflection point. Since announcing our new platform, ready for September, we have broken even, growth is accelerating, and we expect to beat our targets this year. Over the years, Talamo has received investment from Simon Rogerson, Simon Squibb and Sam Thompson, won an Innovate UK grant, been endorsed by the British Dyslexia Association, won the BCG Social Impact Accelerator, been featured on BBC News, addressed a parliamentary committee, and hosted our own SEND conference at LSE.
We are now looking for someone brilliant to help us seize more opportunities, move faster, and free up more of the founders’ time.
Role
We are looking for a Founders Associate to work closely with Jamie and Leo, Talamo’s founders, on marketing, growth and day-to-day execution across the company.
This is a broad generalist role. The main focus will be growth: helping more schools discover Talamo, understand the platform’s value, sign up, and follow a clearer journey without always needing a founder-led conversation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
