I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

We built Akai to automate these workflows using AI agents. Why? Because traditional automation fails when work doesn’t have an API. We’ve tested it internally; it works. Now, it’s going market-wide.
Your Role as a Founding GTM Account Executive

Key Responsibilities
- Target & own global account lists (scale-ups to multinational leaders).

- Drive full sales cycle: Discovery, technical demos, business case, procurement, closure.
- Translate technical AI products into business outcomes for non-technical buyers.
- Grow existing accounts by identifying new workflows and teams to automate.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and FDE—your feedback will directly shape Akai’s evolution.
- Leverage AI & automation in your own sales workflow (dogfooding = competitive edge).
- Maintain CRM pristine—data fuels future strategy.
Requirements
✅ 4–6 years of SaaS Tech Sales (full cycle), preferably AI, agent platforms, generative AI, or APIs. ✅ Top-tier quota-crusher: documented track record in high-velocity, fast-paced roles. ✅ Greenfield master: you’ve built pipelines from zero and want to do it again. ✅ Tech sale credentials: experience selling to Operations, AI, Finance, Product, or Engineering teams. ✅ Hunter mentality with outbound muscle memory—"no" isn’t an answer, it’s feedback. ✅ AI evangelist: follows frontier models, speaks securely on agents, and already repurposes AI tools. ✅ Tech-savvy communicator: can demystify complex systems in a CFO’s language. ✅ Creative problem solver: not formulaic—thinks outside traditional prospecting. ✅ Founding craver: thrives in early-stage, innovative, and rapidly scaling environments.
