Founding Account Executive (Quota Carrier)

Gamification & Loyalty SaaS
London (Hybrid)
£75k base / £150k OTE uncapped + equity

This is a genuine first-sales-hire opportunity — not a seat in an existing machine. This role would work with the Founders and build the sales-led motion from the ground up as they push toward their Series A raise.

Our client is a fast-growing gamification and customer engagement platform. Their tech turns everyday customer actions — buying, referring, reviewing, and showing up — into challenges, streaks, rewards, and leaderboards that brands use to drive loyalty, repeat purchase, and lifetime value. Clients range from international supermarket chains to DTC brands, and the business already runs live programmes for major international names.

Growth to date has come from partnerships and founder-led selling. Now they're building their own direct sales engine — and this is the person who builds it.

The role

  • You'll be the first dedicated seller, working shoulder-to-shoulder with the founders to shape strategy, then owning the full cycle: find it, build the case, close it, grow it. You'll create the playbook the next hires run.
  • Co-own sales strategy with the founders — sharpen ICP, positioning, pricing and GTM across travel, beauty, fashion, hospitality, DTC/CPG and retail
  • Build your own materials — decks, proposals, pilot business cases, outbound sequences
  • Self-source your entire pipeline — no SDR support, comfortable creating urgency in senior rooms cold
  • Land small, expand big — scope pilots with measurable success criteria, prove ROI, convert to always-on licences, then grow the account

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What we're looking for

  • 4–7 years' full-cycle B2B SaaS sales as an individual contributor — you source, discover, close and expand
  • A demonstrable self-sourced pipeline — you've never relied on SDRs or inbound
  • Deal experience broadly in the ~£50k–£150k ACV range, mid-market to lower-enterprise
  • Consultative, multi-stakeholder, ROI-led selling to marketing, CRM, e-commerce or data buyers
  • Land-and-expand fluency — an NRR mindset, not just new-logo hunting
  • A self-sufficient builder who thrives with limited sales infrastructure
  • Genuine 0→1 instincts — energised, not scared, by a startup still being built
  • Ambition to grow into Head of Sales as you build the function

Nice-to-haves:

  • Background selling loyalty, CRM, martech, CDP or retention platforms
  • Experience selling into travel, beauty, fashion, hospitality, DTC/CPG or non-grocery retail
  • Retail-media or agency-to-SaaS exposure

Package

  • £75,000 base + £75,000 variable (£150k OTE, uncapped, with accelerators above target)
  • Meaningful EMI share options
  • A genuine path to Head of Sales

This is not a fit for a big-logo enterprise rep who needs SDR/sales-ops air cover, a manager who's stopped closing, or an account-manager/renewals profile with no net-new hunting instinct.
