Founding AI Engineer – Applied AI / Computer Vision
Location: London / Hybrid
Join an exciting early-stage Computer Vision AI company building cutting-edge agentic workflows and AI-powered video tools for large-scale media environments. With multiple deals secured—now’s the perfect time to be part of the journey!
We’re seeking a Founding AI Engineer to become the first dedicated AI hire in a high-speed, revenue-generating pre-seed startup already running frontier AI models in production. In this role, you’ll collaborate directly with the founders, own AI engineering end-to-end, and drive major impacts across product quality, infrastructure efficiency, and technical direction.
You’ll be a key hire with full ownership to:
- Shape next-gen AI products with real-world solutions
- Reduce token usage and engineering overhead
- Deliver real results from day one

Key Responsibilities
- Shape and build AI-powered products from inception
- Reduce token usage while maintaining robust AI functionality
- Optimise AI infrastructure, deployment, and performance
- Contribute to the technical vision of the company through hands-on leadership
- Divide your role between product development and the technical foundation of AI systems
Who You Are
We’re looking for a high-calibre AI Engineer with:
- 5+ years’ experience in Applied AI, ML, or MLOps
- Strong Python and production AI systems expertise
- Proficiency with LLMs, Generative AI, prompt engineering, or agentic workflows
- Hands-on experience in AI optimisation, deployment, scalability, or evaluation
- A startup mindset with passion for building product, solving real challenges, and solving such problems with the right tools
- Bonus if you bring a mix of expertise in Computer Vision, Video Processing, VFX, or rendering
