About the Role
As our Founding Designer at Dex, you’ll enhance the visual identity, brand presence, and quality design assets of one of the most ambitious early-stage companies in the talent marketplace.
Dex supports trusted Engineers to discover fulfilling work and connect them with companies that align with their values. Dex positions its branding strategically to both B2B (corporate buyers) and B2C (engineers)—balancing the precise with the impactful.
Key Responsibilities
- Shape and uphold a cohensive visual brand framework, from technical refinement to custom digital touchpoints
- Own end-to-end design initiatives that drive brand awareness: email campaigns, Dex website, onboarding sequences, white papers, and research assets
- Craft visual storytelling—balancing creativity with scalability, ensuring our message moves people to action
- Ensure rapid, agile execution, effortlessly prioritizing multiple ongoing projects while maintaining high-quality standards
- Apply data-driven iteration—A/B test visual experiments, adapt based on engagement metrics, and deliver the highest-performing assets
- Impress through motion graphics—enhancing digital assets, social content, and brand consistency across touchpoints
- Integrate cutting-edge AI tools (Claude included)—leveraging their potential to elevate efficiency and creativity

What You’ll Do
Core Responsibilities
- Shape a cohesive brand paradigm—Maintain and defend consistency across visually driven assets, tone, and digital experiences in a hyper-growth environment
- End-to-end ownership of email design, website traps, onboarding flows, and documentation storytelling ensuring that each design is both factually engaging and inspired
- Translate complex ideas into smooth user journeys and vibrant visual narratives that inspire action and connection
- Execute with velocity—Efficiently juggle multiple concurrent campaigns, whilst upholding the highest creative standards
- Design for measurable impact – Actively use engagement analytics, A/B tests to consistently elevate performance
- Apply motion design expertise – Accelerate visual storytelling with dynamic, eye-catching animations across digital touchpoints
- Curate AI adoption – Utilize Claude tokens or AI assistance to streamline workflows and foster creative innovations

Experience & Skills
Required
- 5+ years as a Graphic/Brand/Digital Designer, ideally with startup tech experience and exposure to agency environments.
- Strong hands-on design skills backed by a diverse portfolio showing conceptual thinking, commercial impact, and performance-driven digital assets.
- Exceptionally analytical: adapt delivery, type clarity, layout decisions, symbolic polish and visual composition—distinct execution at every step.
- Extensive brand sensibility— preferably building brand architecture or design systems from scratch in disruptive spaces
- Ability to efficiently navigate Figma providing precision, Framer deployed with ease, and Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator/Photshop) for final outputs.
- Motion Graphic talent – competent at applying animation principles to advertising or platform frameworks.
- Self-starter with proactive problem-solving, able to pivot teased responsibilities whilst collaborating autonomously.
