About Modern Relay

We're building a lakehouse-native graph engine with git-style workflows. Branch, commit, and merge typed graph data like code. Multi-modal, self-hosted, open source — optimized for on-prem and hybrid context graphs, multi-agent research, and enterprise knowledge systems.

We believe graphs aren't just a database choice — they're the most efficient way to create and distribute knowledge, across people and agents. As fans of Deutsch's The Beginning of Infinity, we think we're at the start of an explosion of explanatory knowledge, and we want to lead the way.

Our mantra is ADOPTION. Stable v1 is in flight. What's missing is a community of ideas around it. We invite you to build it with us.

The role

You'll be the champion of the Omnigraph community and distribution — the one who turns members into builders and contributors. We're hiring a systems engineer whose product is the DevRel function itself: an agent-orchestrated machine that produces content, cultivates community, audits developer experience, and ships cookbooks — and that you continuously rebuild as the tooling and the product evolve.

Our style

We've optimized the whole company to run on agents — Hermes, Claude Code, Devin; Slack wired for agent-driven development. You won't hand-crank DevRel.

You'll build it to run on rails: agent pipelines that draft docs from PRs, triage issues, generate cookbooks from real usage, cut release notes, and surface DX friction — then you'll keep upgrading those pipelines as everything changes underneath them.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What you'll own

Five systems to build and run — not five inboxes to empty.

  • Blog posts (own and guest)
  • Customer case studies
  • Sample apps, skills, plugins, integrations and boilerplates
  • Demo and tutorial videos
  • Recorded talks
  • A public social presence on X and LinkedIn

  • GitHub ops (issue triage, PR review, repo hygiene)
  • Launch coordination (HN, Product Hunt)
  • Meetups, hackathons and build challenges
  • Workshops
  • Education partnerships
  • A hiring pipeline through the community

Product feedback & DX

  • Feedback synthesis
  • User interviews and a design-partner / advisory board
  • Usage analytics
  • Experience audits across onboarding, API ergonomics, error messages, SDK quality and local dev.

Partnerships & ecosystem

  • Demos, lunch & learns, champion enablement
  • Co-marketing (joint webinars, newsletters, cross-promo)
  • Integrations and the plugin ecosystem

Ops

  • DevRel metrics and OKRs
  • The tooling stack (Slack agents, docs site, video production)
  • Crisis comms across X, LinkedIn and GitHub

Must have

  • Slop King/Queen — you live in Claude Code / Codex / Hermes and can orchestrate multiple agents to do real work
  • Systems thinker, builder by default — you ship internal tooling, automate your own job, and wire things into existing systems
  • High agency, high ownership — you don't wait, you ship
  • Credible to devs and power users — opinionated, technical, in public
