Job Description
As the first technical hire at a well-funded defence tech startup, you will design and build a novel class of Large Behavioural Models from scratch. You'll lead technical architecture, pre-training infrastructure, and multi-agent simulations to protect democracies against information warfare, enjoying significant intellectual ownership over a mission-critical platform with global security implications.

What You Will Do
- Design and architect foundational Large Behavioural Models to simulate complex adversarial information campaigns across multiple platforms.
- Build and scale the pre-training infrastructure and evaluation frameworks necessary to support sophisticated agent-based simulations.
- Collaborate directly with leadership to define the product roadmap and technical direction of the entire modelling platform.

The ideal candidate
- Proven experience pre-training foundation models from scratch at a frontier AI lab or equivalent high-performance research environment.
- Exceptional engineering skills with the ability to thrive in a high-ambiguity, greenfield environment as the first technical hire.
- Deeply motivated by the mission of cognitive security and eligible for UK Security Clearance to work on sensitive defence applications.
