Founding Engineer
London | Onsite £80,000-£120,000 + equity
We’re working with an early-stage company building a next-generation AI platform to transform a large, traditional industry.
They’re looking for a Founding Engineer to take ownership of the core platform from day one and help scale it into a category-defining product.
The Opportunity
This is a true 0→1 role.
You’ll be responsible for architecting and building the core system that powers the product, working directly with the founders and shaping both the technical direction and product itself.
If you’re someone who enjoys high ownership, fast pace, and building from scratch, this is one of those rare roles where you can have a genuine impact.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
