Founding Engineer

Velocity Tech has partnered with an early-stage AI startup that is redefining how companies generate, manage, and grow revenue.

Having recently secured a successful pre-seed funding round from leading venture capital firms, they are now looking to hire a Founding Engineer to join the business at a pivotal stage of growth. This is a rare opportunity to become one of the first engineering hires, helping shape both the product and technical direction of the company while working alongside an experienced founding team.

The Opportunity

As a Founding Engineer, you'll work across the entire product stack, building and shipping features from concept through to production. This is a highly autonomous role where you'll work directly with customers, influence product decisions, and own technical solutions from end to end.

You'll be involved across web applications, browser extensions, backend services, AI-powered workflows, integrations, infrastructure, and everything in between. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and ideal for engineers who enjoy solving difficult problems and seeing the direct impact of their work.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
