Job Description
As a Founding Engineer at Tribal Bio, you will work directly with the founders to build the technical foundation of an ambitious biotech infrastructure platform. You'll architect agentic AI workflows, manage complex biomedical data, and ship production-grade software that solves real-world drug discovery challenges. This high-impact role offers significant ownership and a clear path toward technical leadership.

What You Will Do
- Design and implement agentic AI workflows for drug discovery, clinical asset evaluation, and complex regulatory use cases.
- Build robust backend systems and data infrastructure to handle fragmented biomedical, scientific, and clinical information.
- Collaborate directly with founders and customers to prototype, iterate, and ship production-ready LLM-powered tools.
The ideal candidate
- Exceptional hands-on builder with 0-5 years of experience shipping production software in high-ambiguity startup environments.
- Strong technical generalist proficient in full-stack or backend engineering with a focus on LLMs, agents, or AI workflows.
- High-agency individual who thrives on intensity, moves fast across the stack, and communicates clearly with founders and customers.
