Founding Engineer (Backend + AI)

Founding Engineer (Backend + AI Systems)

Equity: Significant equity for the right candidate

About the Role

We’re looking for a Founding Engineer to join our early team and work directly with the CTO. You’ll play a key role in building and scaling the core backend and AI systems behind Relateify’s flagship products.

This is a high-ownership role where you’ll work on complex backend infrastructure and intelligent systems. You’ll be involved in architecture decisions, system design, and shipping production-grade features in a fast-moving environment.

If you’re looking for real technical ownership, meaningful equity, and the opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI products from an early stage, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Work On

  • Building and scaling backend systems and infrastructure
  • Developing and optimizing intelligent systems and conversational AI capabilities
  • Designing scalable APIs and backend services
  • Working with cloud infrastructure and modern development tools
  • Collaborating closely with the CTO on technical direction and architecture
  • Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
