Founding Engineer - Early Careers

Founding Engineer

Our product helps security teams quickly and accurately detect intrusions in their cloud environment using canaries – decoy tripwires deployed to deceive attackers.

We're at a massive inflection point, and this is a hugely exciting time to join the company:

  • Just raised a $20m Series A led by FirstMark, with Accel, MMC, Tapestry, and CCL.
  • Doubled ARR last quarter, working with companies like Riot Games, Docker, and Snyk, and grown from 5 to 26 in 18 months.
  • Our research recently helped fix a P1 security flaw in Google’s Gemini CLI.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Founding Engineer who:

  • Has a genuine interest in technology and cybersecurity
  • Possesses a strong academic foundation in STEM (e.g., computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics) with real academic excellence (undergraduate or/or master's degree).
  • Demonstrates strong engineering fundamentals and an appetite to learn—can write clean, correct code and is curious about technical internals.
  • Has built impactful things (side projects, open-source contributions, hackathon successes) with an excitement for fast-paced innovation.
  • Thrives on delivery but also on enjoying the process—bringing engagement, energy, and fun to early-stage startup life.

(If you don’t exactly match this, but believe you could make a difference here, apply! We’re open to exceptional talent.)

About the Role

Reporting to Niall, our Engineering Lead, with direct exposure to our CTO and Co-Founder, Sam, you’ll join a passionate, mission-driven engineering team. Responsibilities include:

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
