I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You Will Do
- Build and own interactive 3D subsurface visualizations using WebGL/Three.js to make complex geological uncertainty legible for expert and executive decision-makers.
- Collaborate directly with the ML team to integrate explainable AI models into a reliable, enterprise-grade product used by the world's largest mining companies.
- Iterate rapidly on workflows and interfaces based on real-world user feedback from pilots, moving the platform from a powerful demo to a must-have product.
The ideal candidate
- Deep expertise in TypeScript and React with a proven track record of shipping production-grade 3D, WebGL, or geospatial visualizations like Three.js, deck.gl, or Cesium.
- Experience building B2B or enterprise SaaS products that have navigated complex security and procurement reviews, ideally within scientific, engineering, or geospatial domains.
- An entrepreneurial, self-directing mindset with the resilience to thrive in an ambiguous, early-stage environment without a defined playbook and a passion for climate-tech mission.
