Founding Forward Deployed Engineer | Technical Hire #2 | London
I'm working with a well-funded AI startup that's looking for its Founding Forward Deployed Engineer – technical hire #2.
This is one of those opportunities that rarely comes around.
- $12M pre-seed raised
- Already at $9M ARR through its first acquisition
- Founding team with 4 successful exits (including £85M+)
- Meaningful founding equity from day one
You'll work directly with the CTO, building AI-powered products while spending 2–3 days a week embedded with customers across the UK. Rather than picking tickets from a backlog, you'll get close to the problem, identify high-impact opportunities, and ship solutions from idea to production in a matter of weeks.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

This is a role for engineers who want to:

- Work across AI, backend, cloud and automation.
- Solve real-world problems alongside customers.
- Help shape the product, platform and engineering team as the business scales.
If you're excited by 0→1 startups, thrive in fast-moving environments, and want to build alongside founders who have repeatedly built and exited successful companies, this is an opportunity to have a genuine impact from the very beginning.
