Founding Forward Deployed Engineer required to join a well-backed, early-stage AI start-up in London as Engineer #1.
Founded by experienced entrepreneurs with multiple successful exits, the business already has strong commercial traction, significant recurring revenue, and an ambitious product roadmap. This is a rare opportunity to join at the earliest stage and play a defining role in shaping both the product and engineering function.
Working directly with customers and the founding team, you'll solve complex technical challenges, build AI-powered solutions, and turn customer problems into production-ready software.

You are:
- A strong Software Engineer with 1–5 years of commercial experience
- Language agnostic, with strong engineering fundamentals and experience using Python and/or TypeScript
- Comfortable working directly with customers to understand problems and deliver technical solutions
- An excellent communicator who enjoys collaborating across technical and non-technical teams
- Excited by high-ownership, fast-moving start-up environments
- Motivated by building products from first principles and making an immediate impact
Bonus points:
- Previous experience within an early-stage or venture-backed start-up
- Experience building AI-powered products or working with LLMs
