Company Description

Walnut is a relationship wellness platform focused on helping people build healthy, secure relationships at every stage of life, beginning with dating. Through the Walnut app, users develop practical relationship skills via bite-sized learning modules and can connect with others who are similarly self-aware and committed to personal growth. The platform supports users in navigating friendships, dating, early and mature relationships. By offering education, tools, and connections in one place, Walnut aims to become a comprehensive destination for creating a life surrounded by healthy relationships.

Role Description

As the Founding Growth Marketer at Walnut, you will design, execute, and optimize data-driven growth strategies to drive user acquisition, activation, and retention for our app. You will manage campaigns across digital channels, run experiments to test new growth opportunities, and use analytics to refine funnels and improve conversion rates. Day-to-day tasks include developing growth plans, setting and tracking KPIs, analyzing user behavior, optimizing landing pages and onboarding flows, and collaborating closely with product and content teams to align growth initiatives with the overall brand and roadmap. This is a part-time/flexible remote role, where you will work closely with the founding team and play a key role in shaping Walnut’s growth engine and marketing foundations.

Type: Part-time / flexible, remote

Comp: Equity + revenue share

About Walnut

Walnut is a relationship wellness app that flips the script on dating apps. Instead of optimizing for swipes, we teach emotional and relational skills first — through bite-sized, psychologist-developed modules — and then connect people who are doing the same work. We believe it takes two emotionally aware, growth-oriented people to build a genuinely healthy relationship, and Walnut is where those people find each other.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

We're live on iOS and Android across London and NYC with thousands of downloads and organic momentum — built so far with a lean, founder-led team and zero dedicated marketing hire. We're now looking for the right person to help us find our next real growth channel.

What we're looking for

Someone who wants to own growth experimentation end-to-end — not manage a team or sit in strategy meetings, but actually run the tests, read the data, and make the calls.

Skills we're looking for:

  • Hands-on experience running and analyzing paid acquisition campaigns (Meta, Google, TikTok, or similar)
  • Strong Growth Marketing and Growth Hacking skills, with experience designing and executing user acquisition and lifecycle campaigns.
  • Proficiency in Marketing Analytics and Web Analytics tools to track performance, interpret data, and generate actionable insights.
  • Ability to set up and analyze experiments (A/B tests), optimize funnels, and report on growth metrics and KPIs.
  • Comfort working in an early-stage, fast-moving environment and building processes from the ground up.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with the CEO.
  • Prior experience in dating, consumer apps, wellness, or relationship-focused products is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Organic content strategy and instinct for what makes short-form video/social content actually spread
  • Comfort with basic growth metrics — CAC, conversion rate, retention/LTV — and translating them into decisions
  • Scrappy, resourceful approach to testing on little to no budget

Qualifications

  • 1–4 years in growth marketing, performance marketing, or a related hands-on role — though we're very open to students and early-career candidates who are a strong culture and role fit over years of experience
  • A track record (even informal — personal projects, university work, freelance gigs) of testing channels and reporting real results
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal oversight and reporting back on outcomes, not just activity
  • Based in a timezone reasonably compatible with UK hours preferred, but not required for the right person

You might be a fit if

  • You love running fast, cheap experiments and killing what doesn't work
  • You're comfortable with a rev-share/equity structure over a fixed salary at this early stage
  • You want real ownership over a growth function, not just a task list
  • You care about the mission — healthier dating and relationships
  • You're a student or early in your career and want real, hands-on startup experience — not a coffee-run internship
  • You're looking for a case study and a real shot at upside, not just a resume line

Where this can go

This is a real seat at the table. As we grow, there's a clear path to convert this into a salaried role — and for the right person who proves themselves in this position, a path toward a CMO-level role as Walnut scales its marketing function.

To apply

Send us your resume a short note on one channel you'd test first for Walnut, and why. Email: info@thewalnutapp.com. Show us how you think, tell us why you care about our mission, not just what you've done before.
