I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You Will Do
- Onboard agency customers from signed contract to fully live branch in under seven days through intensive, in-person training and workflow mapping.
- Act as a technical first responder by triaging customer issues, writing SQL queries, and inspecting logs to minimize engineering interruptions.
- Translate real-world customer friction into specific product feedback and technical bug reports to guide the engineering team’s development roadmap.
The ideal candidate
- Strong Computer Science background with the ability to read Python, FastAPI, and TypeScript, but a preference for solving customer problems over shipping code.
- Exceptional communicator who enjoys being on-site at branches and has a "teacher’s instinct" for training non-technical staff on complex AI tools.
- Highly analytical and AI-native, capable of writing complex SQL and using tools like Cursor or Claude to ship internal automations and training curriculum 10x faster.
