Location: Buckhurst Hill, Essex Contract: Permanent Start Date: September 2026 Salary: £45,000–£60,000 p.a. (dependent on experience)

Hays Education is pleased to partner with an exciting new independent Pre-Preparatory school, opening in Buckhurst Hill in September 2026. Built upon a child-centred philosophy, the school aims to provide a nurturing, ambitious, and inspiring learning environment for children aged 3–7.
This opportunity details small class sizes, an emphasis on creativity, enrichment, and academic excellence, making it rare to join a school at the very beginning of its journey and help shape its future.
Your New Role
The school is now recruiting exceptional educators to form its founding teaching team. They are seeking:
-Subject specialists or experienced Generalist Teachers across:
- Drama Teachers
- English Teachers
- Maths Teachers
- Science Teachers
- Latin Teachers
- Chess Teachers
- Music Teachers
- PE Teachers
- Humanities Teachers
- Primary Class Teachers
Professionals in these or related roles will deliver engaging, inspiring, and unforgettable learning experiences for pupils aged 3–7, working closely with senior leaders and colleagues to develop a vibrant school culture focused on curiosity, confidence, creativity, and academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Every teacher will contribute to:
- Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons for young learners
- Creating a positive, inclusive, nurturing classroom environment
- Supporting all-round student development (academic, social, and emotional)
- Encouraging curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning
- Collaborating on curriculum design and enrichment activities
- Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
- Participating in school events, performances, trips, and extra-curricular activities
- Acting as an active contributor in forming the new school’s culture and values
Requirements
Candidates should hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification. Essential criteria also include:
- Experience teaching in EYFS, KS1, or a primary setting
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A genuine passion for education and child development
- The ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge young learners
- A collaborative, proactive mindset
- Commitment to high standards of teaching, learning, and pastoral care
