About us

x+why launched in 2019 with a simple belief: business should be a force for good. We’re proud to be a Certified B Corp, creating hospitality-led spaces that put people and planet alongside profit.

Today we operate 15 coworking, event, and members’ club spaces across London, Birmingham, Manchester, and Milton Keynes, supporting a vibrant community of 5,000+ members - with more launches on the horizon!

As our portfolio continues to mature and evolve, so do the commercial decisions we make every day. Pricing, occupancy, office reconfigurations, budgeting and forecasting all rely on robust financial modelling and a clear understanding of what's driving performance. That's where this role comes in.

The role

Working closely with the Financial Controller, CFO, Sales, Operations and Executive Team, you'll become the go-to person for commercial modelling across the business. You'll translate data into stories, and stories into better decisions, helping us understand what's working, what isn't and where we should focus next.

This role will suit someone who's looking for more ownership and the opportunity to make a genuine impact. You'll build and maintain the models that underpin pricing, forecasting and budgeting across our existing portfolio. Whether you're evaluating pricing strategies, modelling Day 2 works and office reconfigurations, analysing occupancy trends or supporting site budgets, your work will directly influence how we operate our spaces.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

About You

We're looking for someone who's naturally curious. Someone who enjoys getting under the skin of a business, asking questions and using data to solve real commercial problems. You'll want to understand the story behind the numbers rather than simply report them, and you'll get genuine satisfaction from helping colleagues make better decisions.

You might already be working in commercial finance, FP&A, financial analysis, pricing or another analytical role where you've developed a strong commercial mindset alongside excellent technical skills.

Excel is non-negotiable. You'll be building sophisticated financial models from first principles, so we're looking for someone who's genuinely comfortable starting with a blank spreadsheet rather than working from existing templates.

You'll ideally have experience working in a commercial finance role within the flexible workspace sector or another multi-site hospitality business. Power BI would be advantageous, while SQL knowledge would be a bonus rather than a requirement. A degree or professional qualification is preferred, but it isn't what will get you the job. We're far more interested in your analytical ability, commercial curiosity and your appetite to learn.
