FP&A Analyst, Financial Services - £80,000 - £95,000 + bens + bonus
We’re recruiting for an established UK-based PE Investor who has a particular focus on the Aviation sector, so if you have a passion or an interest in an asset-heavy industry, this is a brilliant role for you.
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for the quarterly and ad-hoc Analysis, modelling and reporting of all key performance metrics for an investment fund and the performance of their physical assets.
You’ll work with all commercial decision makers, C-suite and investor relations teams to deliver insightful financial analysis and reporting to enable the best decision-making across the business.
Perfect role for an experienced FP&A Analyst or Finance Business Partner with a passion for PE and Fund Investment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce and deliver investor reporting packages, including fund valuations, performance metrics (IRR, MOIC, DPI), asset valuations, cash flow forecasts, and detailed financial analysis.
- Manage financial planning and forecasting processes, supporting annual budgets, management fee projections, distribution forecasts, and long-term fund performance planning.
- Perform fund performance and scenario analysis to evaluate investment returns, portfolio outcomes, and strategic decision-making opportunities.
- Develop and maintain financial models to assess investment transactions, asset disposals, financing structures, and lease-versus-sale scenarios.
- Conduct variance and cash flow analysis to optimise fund liquidity, working capital requirements, and capital deployment strategies.
- Support capital allocation activities.
- Partnered with Corporate Finance and investment teams to evaluate transaction opportunities and portfolio-level investment decisions.
- Monitor portfolio performance and fund equity positions, providing analysis on exit strategies, asset monetisation opportunities, and value creation initiatives.
- Prepare management reporting and performance dashboards, providing key financial insights and KPIs to senior leadership, investors, and board stakeholders.
- Coordinate with external auditors, fund administrators, and tax advisors to support annual audits, regulatory reporting, and tax compliance requirements.
- Build strong relationships with investors, board members, and external service providers.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 3 - 6 years’ experience within FP&A.
- Experience within Financial Services, Asset Finance or Aviation-related environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong business partnering skills, with the ability to articulate the drivers of financial performance to business stakeholders (‘tell the story’).
- Must have strong Excel modelling skills.
- Ability to work with stakeholders to optimise performance/harness opportunities / mitigate risks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
