The Opportunity

A high-growth, Private Equity-backed B2B services group is seeking an ambitious FP&A Lead to take on a pivotal role at the centre of its finance transformation journey.

Operating across a multi-entity, contract-driven environment with revenues in the region of £80–100m, the business is executing a buy-and-build strategy and integrating recently acquired operations, creating both complexity and opportunity within the finance function.

At present, the organisation lacks the forward-looking analytical infrastructure required to fully support decision-making and meet investor expectations. This role has a clear and exciting mandate: to build that capability from the ground up.

This is not a conventional FP&A position. The successful candidate will lead the development of a modern, data-driven and increasingly automated finance function — with AI at its core.

Reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with the CEO, COO and PE stakeholders, the role offers exceptional exposure and the opportunity to materially influence how the business plans, operates and creates value.

This is a rare opportunity to build something genuinely cutting-edge within a traditional sector.

The Role

The FP&A Lead will own the group’s forward-looking financial intelligence, including budgeting, forecasting, modelling and board reporting, while simultaneously leading the adoption of AI and automation across the finance function.

This role sits at the intersection of finance, data and technology. You will not only produce insights but design the systems, models and processes that generate them — ensuring they are accurate, scalable and increasingly automated.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
