Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager

About the Role

The FP&A Manager will oversee financial planning and analysis, ensuring accurate reporting and strategic financial support throughout the organisation. This role demands expertise in financial modelling and a deep understanding of the not-for-profit sector.

Client Details

This position is with a globally recognised not-for-profit organisation based in Cardiff, known for its high-impact initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making
  • Produce accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with department heads to create and manage budgets and forecasts
  • Analyse financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and organisational policies
  • Support the implementation of financial systems and process improvements
  • Prepare detailed variance analyses and identify key financial trends
  • Present financial insights to non-financial stakeholders for informed decision-making

Required Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A professional accounting qualification (e.g., chartered accountant) or extensively equivaluced experience
  • Proven experience in FP&A, preferably within the not-for-profit sector
  • Strong financial modelling, analysis, and forecasting skills
  • Proficiency in budget management and financial forecasting
  • Excellent communication and storytelling abilities for explaining complex financial data
  • Experience with financial systems and tools
  • Aptitude for process improvement and automation initiatives
  • Detail-oriented and strategic mindset
