Validus Risk Management is an independent, technology-enabled financial services firm focused on helping institutional investors, fund managers, and corporations manage market risk across FX, interest rates, and commodities. The business combines deep market expertise with technology to support better decision-making in complex financial environments, making finance a critical partner in understanding performance, planning for growth, and shaping strategic outcomes.
As FP&A Manager, you will play a central role in giving leadership clear, actionable insight into business performance. This is an opportunity to support strategic decision-making in a sophisticated financial services environment, working closely with senior stakeholders to bring clarity to revenue, profitability, and the key drivers behind business results.
Responsibilities
- Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes across business units
- Assist with managing month end close, providing hands-on support to meet month end deadlines
- Manage team of 2 part-qualified management accountants
- Prepare monthly management reports with variance analysis and KPI commentary
- Build and maintain financial models for scenario planning and strategic decisions
- Partner with department leaders to evaluate performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Deliver board-ready insights on revenue, profitability, and key business drivers

Requirements
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification
- Strong FP&A experience, including at least 2 years of FP&A leadership experience
- At least 2 years of team leadership experience
- Experience with variance analysis and management reporting in complex businesses
- Experience leading the month-end close process to ensure a timely close
- Experience working in businesses with multiple global jurisdictions and multi-currency operations
- Advanced Excel skills and experience building financial models for forecasting and scenario analysis
- Experience in financial services
- At least 1 year of experience partnering with department heads and a Finance Director
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Experience with Xero or Sage is a plus
- Familiarity with HubSpot is a bonus
