Are you an FPGA with active UKIC DV or MOD DV looking to work on cutting-edge technology that has a real-world impact?

We're partnering with an established technology organisation delivering complex engineering solutions across the UK national security and defence sectors. With a strong pipeline of long-term programmes and continued investment in emerging technologies, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team working on highly challenging and rewarding projects.

You'll be involved in developing advanced FPGA-based solutions as part of multidisciplinary engineering teams, contributing to innovative systems across areas including digital signal processing, communications, AI, cyber, cloud technologies, and platform engineering.

  • Designing, developing, simulating, and implementing FPGA solutions using VHDL and/or Verilog.
  • Developing and optimising real-time Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms, including filters, FFTs, mixers, and modulation techniques.
  • Designing and supporting high-speed digital interfaces such as ADC, DAC, and PCIe.
  • Working closely with embedded software, hardware, and systems engineers to integrate FPGA firmware into larger system architectures.
  • Supporting hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation using laboratory test equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, and signal generators.

About You

We're looking for engineers with experience in some or all of the following:

  • FPGA design and development using VHDL and/or Verilog.
  • Digital Signal Processing (DSP) implementation.
  • MATLAB/Simulink for modelling and simulation.
  • Embedded C/C++ and/or Python for testing, automation, or hardware interaction.
  • Knowledge of digital communications, RF systems, or signal processing principles.
  • Experience working within complex engineering environments.
