FRA Carpenter – Social Housing Fire Door Installer

National Site-based within Birmingham, Wolverhampton & Walsall region Standard Hours: Monday–Friday, 39h per week

We’re seeking an experienced FRA Carpenter to join our planned works team at Novus Property Solutions, where you’ll deliver high-quality fire door installation and remedial works across our social housing tenants’ properties.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and finish fire doors and carry out remedial works within social housing properties.
  • Interpret and follow job tickets or handheld devices efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other trades and teams while managing your workload independently.
  • Maintain and uphold Novus’ rigid health and safety standards at every job site.
  • Complete a skills test (including fire door installation) during the hiring process.
  • Sound knowledge of FRA-rated carpentry and compliance with Conservation of Fuel and Power Act.

Experience & Qualities:

  • Essential:
    • Strong desire to work within social housing (familiarity with tenant interface preferred).
    • Full UK driving licence (professional/provisional).
    • Prepareness to undergo a DBS check before commencing.
  • Desirable:
    • Experience in social housing remedial or maintenance contexts.
    • Evidence of hands-on fire door installation expertise.
