Fractional BD Operator

Fractional Business Development (BD) Operator

Pipeline & Sales Ops at a Boutique Advisory Firm

UK Remote (with domestic travel 1–2 times per month)
Fractional Contract (2–3 days per week)
Initial 3–6 months

Overview

Boutique Advisory is a small, high-calibre advisory firm operating across retail and manufacturing supply chains, with senior delivery pedigree from MNC organisations. With one anchor US client and an 18-month ran rate target to build new business, they are hiring a Fractional BD Operator to build and run the pipeline infrastructure that enables senior commercial team to convert high-value, relationship-led opportunities.

This is not a closing role. You will build the machine, run the operating cadence, and ensure our outreach, qualification, follow-up, and reporting are executed to a high standard across an international, remote team.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

  • Build and run the end-to-end pipeline infrastructure and sales operating cadence for a boutique, high-value advisory offering.
  • Set up and administer CRM and sales operations processes including pipeline stages, fields, dashboards, hygiene rules, and reporting routines.
  • Develop and maintain target account and contact lists aligned to our focus on mid-to-large consumer goods businesses across the UK, EMEA, and internationally.
  • Design and execute LinkedIn and email outreach sequences that are credible, compliant, and tailored for C-suite audiences (CEO/CFO).
  • Produce and package content from senior team outlines into outreach-ready assets (e.g., posts, short narratives, emails, one-pagers) to support relationship-led business development.
  • Qualify inbound interest, triage opportunities, and route the right conversations to senior commercial leads with clear context and next steps.
  • Chase proposals and follow-ups to maintain momentum and ensure no opportunities stall due to process gaps.
  • Provide disciplined pipeline reporting and forecasting support, including weekly summaries and insights on what is working and what needs adjustment.
  • Operate independently with light-touch management, aligning through 1–2 check-ins per week and delivering outcomes with minimal supervision.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
