SJC Partners are recruiting on behalf of The Fractional CFO Group for an experienced Part-Time/ Fractional CFO to support an innovative, venture-backed manufacturing and technology business based in Cambridgeshire.

This is an opportunity to work with a fast-growing organisation, supporting the leadership team as the business scales operations and prepares for future investment. We're looking for a commercially focused finance leader who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach and has experience supporting growing SMEs or high-growth businesses.

The Role

Working closely with the senior leadership team, you'll help strengthen the finance function, improve cash flow management and provide strategic guidance across financial planning, tax, investment, fundraising and operational performance.

With a significant proportion of purchasing from international suppliers, you'll also play a key role in developing a practical foreign exchange strategy to minimise currency risk and protect margins.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
