Fractional Chief Commercial Officer

We are working with a fast-growing social impact organisation focused on social mobility, access, and opportunity.
The organisation has ambitious growth plans and is now looking to appoint a Fractional Chief Commercial Officer to support its next stage of commercial development and growth.
This is a strategic advisory and hands-on commercial leadership role, working closely with the executive team, board, and partnerships and sales function to strengthen commercial direction, sharpen the go-to-market strategy, and support the development of new products and services.
The successful candidate will provide strategic support to the partnerships and new business team, helping them build confidence, structure, and commercial discipline around pipeline development, senior stakeholder engagement, proposition development, and conversion.

They will also act as a trusted commercial advisor to the board, bringing clarity and challenge around market segmentation, pricing, proposition design, revenue models, partnership strategy, and growth priorities.
We are looking for someone who has operated at a senior commercial or executive level and has a strong track record of selling into large corporates. They will understand how senior corporate buyers think, how boards make decisions, and how to turn a powerful mission into a commercially compelling proposition.

This role requires someone with strong commercial acumen, high integrity, and genuine boardroom literacy. They will need to balance commercial ambition with mission integrity, ensuring growth is sustainable, credible, and aligned to real social impact.
Key areas of focus
- Support and provide direction to the partnerships and new business team with commercial strategy, pipeline discipline, and senior-level sales execution.
- Provide mentoring, coaching, and commercial guidance to internal team members.
- Advise the board and executive team on commercial direction, growth priorities, and revenue opportunities.
Time commitment: 1-2 days per week
