Fractional Chief Operating Officer | Premium Cosmetics & Lifestyle Brand | Hybrid
The Client
Harmonic are delighted to have partnered with a well-established premium cosmetics and lifestyle brand that has built a loyal following across retail, wholesale and DTC channels. Having scaled steadily for a number of years, the business is now facing an exciting inflection point, pushing into new international markets, navigating the operational complexity of multiple territories, channels and regulatory environments, and building the infrastructure to support the next stage of growth. This is a genuinely interesting problem to solve, and the business is looking for the support of an experienced COO to help crack it in a strategic and hands-on capacity.
Leadership is looking for someone who shares a genuine passion for beauty, product and consumer brands, and who is prepared to support in a longer-term capacity. This role will be hybrid and start out as a few days per week commitment, with scope to increase as the business grows. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, close-knit team behind a brand with real momentum, at exactly the point where the operational puzzle gets interesting.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
