Head of Customer Insight & Analytics
Part-Time / Fractional
Location: Hybrid – South West England
Engagement: Part-Time / Fractional (Permanent or Consultancy)
Salary / Day Rate: Competitive
The Opportunity
Our client is an ambitious, multi-brand consumer business looking to strengthen its commercial decision-making through data. They are seeking an experienced Head of Customer Insight & Analytics to provide strategic leadership for their customer insight and analytics capability on a part-time or fractional basis.
Rather than building reports yourself, your role will be to ensure the organisation is asking the right commercial questions, using the right data and acting on meaningful insight. You'll become a trusted adviser to senior leadership, helping shape marketing, customer and commercial strategy through evidence-based recommendations.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced insight leader who enjoys operating at executive level and wants to make a significant commercial impact within a flexible engagement.
The Role
Working closely with senior commercial and digital leaders, you will define the organisation's customer insight agenda, ensuring analytics supports strategic priorities and informs key business decisions.
You'll lead a small analytics function, providing direction to both technical and analytical team members while ensuring the organisation develops a mature, commercially focused insight capability.
Success in this role will be measured not by the volume of reporting produced, but by the quality of decisions enabled through data.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
