Company Description

Checkout Review is a Built for Shopify app that brings verified customer reviews natively into the Shopify checkout, and lets merchants prove the conversion impact with built-in A/B testing. Our positioning is simple: proven, not promised. Where other review apps ask merchants to take social proof on faith, we let them measure the exact lift on their own store.

We work with established Shopify Plus brands, and our integrations include Judge.me, Yotpo, Okendo, Reviews.io, Trustpilot and Loox. We're a small, founder-led company with strong product-market signals: real conversion results with recognisable brands, active partnership conversations with major players in the ecosystem, and growing momentum. We're now looking for the right person to help us turn that momentum into scaled growth.

The Role

We're hiring a fractional (part-time) Sales & Partnerships Manager to own and grow two channels:

  • Agency & platform partnerships — building relationships with Shopify agencies, review/UGC platforms, and other ecosystem partners who can introduce Checkout Review to their merchant clients.
  • Direct merchant sales — identifying, engaging and converting Shopify Plus merchants who are a strong fit for the app.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This is a part-time / fractional role to start (approximately 3 days per week / 24 hours per week), with genuine potential to grow into a larger or full-time role as we scale. You'll work directly with the founder and have real ownership of how we build these channels.

What you'll do

  • Develop and nurture relationships with Shopify agencies and ecosystem partners, positioning Checkout Review as a valuable addition to their merchant offering.
  • Advance existing partnership conversations and open new ones across the review, UGC and CRO ecosystem.
  • Identify and reach out to high-fit Shopify Plus merchants, run discovery conversations, and move them toward installing and activating the app.
  • Represent Checkout Review credibly to sophisticated, data-literate merchants and partners — our audience knows conversion, so substance matters.
  • Feed market insight back to the founder to sharpen our positioning, targeting and roadmap.
  • Help shape a repeatable, scalable sales and partnership motion from the ground up.

Who you are

  • Already active in the Shopify ecosystem — you have existing relationships, credibility and knowledge in the Shopify (ideally Shopify Plus) world. This is non-negotiable: you'll be effective from day one because you already know the space, the players and the language.
  • US-based, comfortable working with US merchants and partners in their timezone.
  • Demonstrable experience in sales and/or partnerships, ideally for a Shopify app, ecommerce SaaS, or agency.
  • A genuine, consultative style — you build trust and long-term relationships rather than hard-selling.
  • Comfortable working independently and owning outcomes with minimal oversight.

Nice to have

  • Existing relationships with Shopify Plus agencies or review/UGC/CRO platforms.
  • Understanding of conversion rate optimisation and how merchants think about it.
  • Experience building partnership or reseller channels.

Why this role is worth your time

  • Ground-floor ownership of the sales and partnership function at a company with real momentum and a genuinely differentiated product.
  • A product that's easy to believe in — we prove our value with data, not hype, which makes it far easier to sell.
  • Direct access to the founder and real influence over strategy, positioning and roadmap.
  • Meaningful upside as we grow, with a clear path to expanding the role.
