Fragrance Specialist - Boots Dudley

Counter Lead

About the Role

The Counter Lead plays a crucial role in supporting their Brand in driving sales, turnover, and market share by maintaining a consumer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

Brand Advocacy & Consumer Experience

  • Reflects a credible and professional Brand image to all internal and external consumers
  • Maximises sales through selling, exceptional service, and high retail standards
  • Adheres to store/Brand/Company Procedures and guidelines to improve efficiency
  • Monitors daily/weekly targets and understands additional sales channels (events, Omni, digital, etc.)
  • Tracks competitor activities and missed opportunities
  • Engages actively in social media, using it to drive business growth and enhance Brand reputation
  • Delivers the Brand Strategy, ensuring an effective local plan is in place
  • Plans and implements local marketing and events while aligning with Retailer activities
  • Ensures excellence in service and fosters a zero complaints mindset while promoting a surprise and delight culture
  • Acts as a Brand Ambassador, embodying and communicating Brand values
  • Handles refunds and complaints properly, adhering to Company guidelines, and consulting with the Area Manager when needed

Knowledge Management & Consumer Retention

  • Uses digital tools to stay updated on Company internal developments
  • Develops a consumer recruitment and retention strategy to build loyalty

Product Knowledge & Industry Leading Experience

  • Ensures up-to-date product knowledge to meet consumer needs and deliver an industry-leading experience

Operations

  • Maintains excellent standards in product quality, housekeeping, displays, promotions, messaging, and pricing
  • Daily review of retail standards to upkeep required protocols
  • Ensures deliveries, stock movements, and associated administration align with Company timeframes
  • Fully complies with auditable processes and administration while taking corrective action in high-risk areas
  • Accurately fulfills information requests within deadlines
  • Minimises stock loss through thorough implementation of Company Security Policies & Procedures
  • Creates and upholds a safe working environment for consumers, adhering to Company & Retailer Policies
  • Ensures Health & Safety responsibilities and operational activities maintain at least an "Acceptable" grade during audits

Commercial Performance

  • Manages daily replenishment, taking prompt corrective action when necessary
  • Maximises sales by leveraging commercial reports for informed decision-making
  • Plans and executes visual merchandising layouts in line with guidelines and deadlines
  • Identifies stock package issues, taking corrective action and informing the Area Manager when needed
  • Efficiently manages promotions and discounts, adhering to Company guidelines
  • Recognises market trends and suggests initiatives to enhance product performance

Requirements

  • Experience in fast-paced retail and/or consumer-facing environments
  • Proven ability to drive personal and professional self-development
  • Strong commercial understanding and industry awareness
  • Strong communication, organisation, and prioritisation skills
