Company Description
The Signing Company UK delivers Sign Language classes using BSL Signs for babies and children through a network of dedicated franchises. All instructors are required to hold at least Signature BSL Level 1 certification to ensure high-quality teaching and support. Each franchise offers a varied schedule of classes for parents, Early Years settings, professional workshops, and birthday celebrations, helping families and organisations integrate BSL Signs into daily life.
We're looking for enthusiastic franchisees who are passionate about promoting BSL Signs, especially in Early Years environments, and offer support to help them build successful, community-focused businesses. SigningBSL, part of the brand, additionally provides BSL qualifications for adults, expanding access to BSL learning across age groups.
Role Description
As a Franchisee in Buckinghamshire, based on-site anywhere in Buckinghamshire, you will manage and grow your local BSL Sign class franchise on a full-time basis. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Planning and delivering engaging BSL classes for babies, children, and parents, as well as organising sessions for Early Years settings, professional workshops, and themed birthday parties.
- Handling local marketing, social media outreach, and community networking to promote your classes and build brand awareness.
- Managing bookings, handling customer inquiries, overseeing basic financial administration, and maintaining high teaching standards aligned with The Signing Company UK’s guidelines.
- Collaborating with the central team for training, resources, and ongoing support while developing strong relationships with schools, nurseries, and community groups.

Qualifications
- Possession of Signature BSL Level 1 (or higher) and strong practical BSL Sign communication skills. We're also happy if you're in the process of achieving Level 1 or willing to learn.
- Experience working with babies, children, families, or Early Years settings, with the ability to create inclusive, engaging learning environments.
- Basic business, administration, and organisational skills to manage bookings, schedules, and finances effectively.
- Local marketing and networking abilities, including confidence in promoting classes, using social media, and building community partnerships.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enthusiasm for BSL, and a customer-focused approach to service.
- Willingness to undertake franchise training, adhere to brand standards, and continually develop BSL and teaching skills.
- Access to reliable transport and flexibility to work weekdays and occasional weekends to meet local demand.
