Job Opportunity: Fraud Specialist
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Fraud Specialist based in United Kingdom.
This role is an opportunity to join a fast-growing environment where fraud prevention and risk management are essential to maintaining a secure and trusted digital marketplace.
You will play a key role in detecting suspicious activity, analyzing emerging fraud patterns, and strengthening systems that protect users and transactions. The position combines data analysis, investigation, and cross-functional collaboration to proactively address risks.
You will work closely with product, data, and engineering teams to improve fraud detection strategies and operational processes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, identifying anomalies, and creating impactful security solutions. You will contribute directly to building safer experiences for a global community of users.
Accountabilities:
- Monitor marketplace activity to identify suspicious behaviors and prevent fraudulent transactions.
- Analyze data to detect fraud patterns, emerging risks, and potential attack methods.
- Investigate escalated fraud cases and recommend appropriate actions based on risk assessments.
- Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to improve fraud detection and prevention systems.
- Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and alerts to support ongoing fraud monitoring.
- Contribute to the development of fraud prevention policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Identify vulnerabilities and proactively suggest improvements to strengthen user trust and platform security.

Requirements:
- Previous experience in fraud prevention, risk operations, trust and safety, fintech, e-commerce, or marketplace environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and generate actionable insights.
- Familiarity with fraud monitoring tools, anomaly detection methods, or rule-based risk systems.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential threats.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product, data, and engineering functions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
- Good level of English required, with proficiency preferred, as the working language is international.
