Freedom to Speak Up Guardian – Sirona Care & Health
Supporting an open culture of safeguarded disclosure
You’ll play a visible, trusted and influential role across the organisation, working closely with Directors, the Chief Executive Officer and the Chair. This role is about shaping a culture where openness is the norm—ensuring every colleague feels confident and safe to speak up.
About the Role
As Freedom to Speak Up Guardian, you will:
- Build and lead a network of Freedom to Speak Up Champions, ensuring the speak-up message resonates across every team, service and part of the organisation.
- Foster a supportive environment where open communication is actively encouraged.
- Develop and deliver communication and engagement programmes to increase visibility of the role among staff.
- Promote local speaking up processes and expand awareness of available support and guidance.
- Demonstrate and celebrate the impact of speaking up within the organisation.
- Ensure all staff understand their rights, have access to support, and feel empowered to speak up when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver speak-up initiatives to engage colleagues across all levels.
- Lead training and provide guidance to Freedom to Speak Up Champions to strengthen organisational reach.
- Collaborate with management and leadership to enhance open culture policies.
- Monitor, document and share the success stories of speaking-up within the organisation.
- Ensure Freedom to Speak Up is integrated into inductions, presentations, and organisational updates.
