Freelance 3D Architectural Modeller (3ds Max) - Remote, UK Hours

Posted on 23 Jul

Eleven Visualisation

Location: London, GB

Work Type: Remote work allowed

The Role

We're looking for a detail oriented 3D architectural modeller. You’ll be working on a combination of projects including large scale exteriors, context buildings, landscape, interior spaces, and furniture. The sources you work from will vary between CAD drawings, Revit exports, sketches, PDFs, or photo references. You'll need to interpret incomplete or inconsistent information confidently and know what to ask for.

What You'll Do

  • Analyse the project brief and organise the information you have, flagging any issues or inconsistencies.
  • Formulate a modelling plan with time estimations and the final output details.
  • Read architectural plans accurately and export models where needed.
  • Model architecture, interiors, furniture, and site context in 3ds Max from varied source material (DWG, Revit exports, sketches, PDFs, photos).
  • Prepare scenes for handover to visualisation artists: clean topology, logical naming, correct real-world scale, organised layers.
  • Build vegetation and repeating-element setups using Forest Pack and RailClone.
  • Ensure compatibility with a Corona render workflow (proxies, material slots, scene hygiene).
  • Manage your own workload against agreed deadlines and flag issues early.
  • Review your final models with the team, updating any details that are needed.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
