Creative Director/Art Director – Visual Identity for Independent Music Artist

This role is an opportunity to shape the visual identity of an independent music artist whose work is deeply introspective, atmospheric, and emotionally resonant. The artist is seeking a creative partner to translate their music and vision into a cohesive, immersive visual universe across digital platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and Spotify.

The focus is on building a cinematic and dreamlike brand presence, blending music, visuals, and narrative while ensuring every element reflects the artist’s unique mood, color palette, and storytelling style. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creative branding and eager to contribute to a long-term artistic journey.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and define a distinctive visual identity that aligns with the artist’s musical and emotional themes
  • Create and pitch concepts for photoshoots, video content, and short-form digital media
  • Direct and oversee production of visual content, ensuring consistency in mood, color, and narrative
  • Collaborate closely with the artist to evolve the brand’s visual universe over time
  • Maintain visual coherence across all digital platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and Spotify
  • Contribute creative ideas for immersive storytelling and audience engagement

Skills & Requirements

  • Proven experience in art direction, creative direction, or visual branding, preferably within the music or entertainment sector
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating ability to craft cohesive visual identities and cinematic aesthetics
  • Deep understanding of visual storytelling, mood, and color theory
  • Experience directing content production for digital and social platforms
  • Ability to translate abstract musical and emotional concepts into compelling visual narratives
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for long-term creative partnerships
  • Familiarity with current trends in music branding and digital content
  • Availability for ongoing collaboration; remote work is acceptable
