Freelance CAD Technician
We are looking for a freelance CAD Technician to support the delivery of measured surveys and generate CAD plans of existing buildings (predominantly residential flats) across Devon and Cornwall.
Experience and Qualifications
- Previous experience as a CAD Technician
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- The ability to undertake measured surveys
- Ability to:
- manage workload
- estimate drawing times
- meet deadlines
- Strong team-working skills, with the ability to:
- collaborate effectively across disciplines and offices
- A proactive approach to identifying and improving workflows and processes

- Undertake measured surveys
- Prepare and develop 2D CAD drawings, including:
- general arrangement drawings
- sections
- elevations
- Apply sound technical judgement to ensure:
- all drawings and models are accurate
- clear and meet expected quality standards
- Take responsibility for:
- checking your own work
- reviewing outputs (where required)
- Ensure compliance with QA procedures
- Deliver work to:
- agreed timescales
- programmes
- budget constraints
