Active Training Team | Remote | £300 per day | 2 days per week

About us

Active Training Team creates safer workplaces through award-winning immersive training. Combining live drama, film, realistic environments and skills coaching, our programmes are designed to change how people think, decide and behave in high-risk situations. We work in construction, utilities, transport and energy, alongside organisations that want to build stronger safety cultures and keep people safe.

The work

We're looking for a freelance content marketer to help us create genuinely useful, insightful content for safety leaders in high-risk industries. You'll research and write weekly blog content, adapt it into supporting social media assets, and help produce our monthly newsletter — all in our brand tone of voice, with SEO best practice built in.

You'll work closely with our Head of Marketing, who will provide clear guidance on the topics you will write about.

What you'll do

  • Research and write engaging, well-informed content for safety directors and leaders in high-risk sectors
  • Adapt that content into supporting social media posts, using Canva templates
  • Help write our monthly newsletter
  • Apply SEO best practice throughout
  • Occasionally support other content writing activities

What you'll need

  • Strong B2B writing skills, experience in a similar or related sector is a plus
  • Able to research unfamiliar topics and turn them into clear, credible content
  • Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals
  • Confidence writing for social media and email/newsletter formats
  • Self-management skills for remote, freelance working

Rate: £300 per day

Commitment: 2 days per week

Duration: Rolling agreement

From: September 2026
