Freelance Creative Strategist (Social & AI)

Freelance Creative Strategist – CapCut Social & AI Creator Culture

We’re looking for a remote freelance Creative Strategist to support CapCut-related projects across social platforms, AI creator culture, and video-making communities.

This is a one-month engagement with a potential extension. Ideal for someone deeply immersed in social and AI trends – you must know what creators are making, watching, remixing, and sharing across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, and beyond.

You should deeply understand AI content creation – not just the hype, but the tools, formats, attention-grabbing trends, workflows, and blind spots. Your insights will shape how CapCut engages with creators and builds around them.

The Responsibilities

  • Cultural mapping: Track trends, formats, memes, creator behaviours, and content opportunities across platforms and AI tools
  • Trend analysis: Identify viral movements, platform-specific shifts, and creator-driven opportunities
  • Content strategy: Turn observations into clear campaign directions, referencing AI workflows, (e.g., prompts, editing, video gen) and social engagement
  • Reference materials: Build dashboards, trend reports, and guiding decks demonstrating why a goal matters
  • Stakeholder collaboration: Work with clients and teams across time zones (UK/China), translating insights for implementers and auditors

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You Bring

  • Deep expertise: Native intelligence about social culture, not shallow surface-level observations
  • Platform fluency: Knowing TikTok’s viral adrenaline vs. YouTube’s creator tailoring vs. Instagram’s visual storytelling vs. threaded X discourse
  • AI hands-on: Follow soundly how AI tools are changing content production and discoverability. No vague “this is transformative” talk – you reference actual workflows, tools, and creator strategies
  • Adaptability: Not a designer or junior art director, but with a good visual intuition that recognises opportunities (e.g. unexpected layouts, sticky templates)
  • Practical clarity: Write crisply + offer simple, defensive, or illustrative insights (e.g. implying that this prompt/cut isn’t yet mature)
  • Culture(I-)ompetence: Understand why data-driven narratives exist, not just how to spot a view spike
