Freelance Independent Reviewing Officer

Family Fostering Partners is looking to collaborate with an experienced Freelance Independent Reviewing Officer to conduct annual reviews for foster parents in our fostering service.

This is a vital independent role, helping us uphold high standards of practice, deliver unbiased oversight, and ensure foster families receive appropriate support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct foster parent annual reviews in line with fostering regulations and best practices
  • Deliver clear, balanced, and evidence-based recommendations
  • Ensure the voices and experiences of children, foster parents, and professionals are considered
  • Maintain a consistent and child-centred approach to reviews and quality assurance

Essential Requirements

  • Experience within fostering, children’s services, or a closely related field
  • Strong safeguarding skills and knowledge
  • Exceptional communication and report-writing abilities
  • Ability to provide fair, independent, and practical oversight
  • A professional qualification in social work (where required for the role)
