Freelance Environment Designer (Spatial & Building Branding)

Location: West London – Hybrid (3 days onsite: Mon, Tues, Thurs)

Rate: £375 – £390 per day (Umbrella Only)

Contract Length: 1-month initial booking

Start Date: End of July 2026

We are looking for an outstanding Freelance Environment Designer to join the internal brand studio of a tier-1 global media and entertainment giant. This is a highly conceptual and visual role where you will translate an iconic brand identity into impactful, real-world physical and architectural experiences across high-profile workplaces and event spaces.

What’s in it for you?

  • Elite Portfolio Pieces: Design for massive-scale corporate hubs and famous UK entertainment/hospitality venues.
  • Great Workspace & Flexibility: Work from a flagship tech-forward campus three days a week, with a balanced work-from-home split.
  • Long-Term Runway: While booked initially for a one-month block, this role supports a major rolling project pipeline with a view for additional bookings within 9 months.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Spatial Craft: Create high-quality design concepts for building branding, environmental graphics, wayfinding systems, and large-format installations.
  • Customer Journey Mapping: Conceptualise how people navigate and experience a physical space, moving them seamlessly through environments.
  • Visualising Ideas: Produce presentation-ready mock-ups, mood boards, and layout concepts utilising Adobe Creative Suite and Generative AI tools for rapid ideation.
  • Production Collaboration: Work alongside producers, stakeholders, and external production partners to ensure your designs are realistic, scalable, and production-ready (considering materials, legibility, and architectural elevations).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
