Company Description
PT Ground Solutions is a leading ground engineering firm providing a wide range of services, including Phase I Desk Study Assessments, Ground Investigation, Site Testing and Monitoring, and Phase II Reporting. Due to our continued growth, we are looking to connect with freelance engineers to support our site operations across the UK.
Role Description
This is an on-site role for Freelance (Contract) Logging Engineers across Scotland and the rest of the UK. Responsibilities include:
- Performing detailed geotechnical logging of soil and rock samples
- Conducting ground investigations
- Supervising site operations
- Compiling technical documentation

The role involves ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols, collaborating with project teams, and ensuring quality assurance in data collection and reporting. Attention to detail, effective communication, and a commitment to professional standards are key aspects of this position.

Qualifications
- Soil and rock logging and ground investigation techniques
- Proficiency in creating borehole logs and site records for ground investigation
- Familiarity with health and safety protocols and standards in construction and engineering environments
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities relevant to on-site operations
- Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with clients and project teams
- Relevant academic background in Geology, Civil Engineering, or related fields
- A valid UK driving license
- National Grid Person OHL preferable but we can support the right person through the training
- H&S training, including CSCS and SSSTs preferable
