Job Description: Freelance Paid Social Specialist
Makerz is looking for a freelance Paid Social Specialist to support a paid social audit, strategy, and implementation project across Meta Ads and TikTok Ads for a premium hospitality / lifestyle account.
This is a hands-on performance marketing role, not an organic social media or content creation role. We need someone who is confident working inside Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager and GA4, and who can quickly audit an existing setup, identify what needs to change, recommend a stronger structure, and implement approved changes.
The first project will be a 5-day paid sprint on a UK account focused on one London location. If the collaboration is successful, there will be further monthly audit and implementation work, with the potential to support larger multi-location accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Paid Social Account Audit
- Audit the current Meta Ads and TikTok Ads setup.
- Review campaign structure, objectives, optimisation events, budgets, audiences, placements, and delivery.
- Identify learning limited, pacing, delivery, creative fatigue, or setup issues.
- Review live ads against available creative assets and identify missed opportunities.
- Assess whether the current structure supports the main commercial objectives.
- Review account hygiene, naming conventions, campaign organisation, and QA process.
Strategy & Implementation
- Recommend a clear Meta + TikTok paid social strategy.
- Build or restructure campaigns once approved.
- Set up a cleaner creative testing framework.
- Improve ad structure, creative rotation, and testing logic.
- Support campaign setup for key offers, booking objectives, and location-specific campaigns.
- Implement approved changes quickly and carefully.
- Document what changed and why.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
