Freelance Project Manager | Digital & Editorial Campaigns 📍 Location: London (4 days onsite, 1 day remote) 📅 Start: ASAP ⏳ Contract: 6 weeks 💰 Rate: Up to £415 per day (Inside IR35)
Minimum 18 months' experience working within a publication or publisher.
I'm currently recruiting on behalf of a leading global media and publishing organisation for an experienced Freelance Project Manager to join their commercial content team on an exciting short-term contract.
This is an excellent opportunity to work across premium digital and print campaigns for internationally recognised editorial brands, delivering high-profile commercial projects for major clients in a fast-paced publishing environment.
The Role
You'll take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of branded content campaigns across digital and print, managing multiple stakeholders, budgets, timelines, and deliverables while ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of branded content campaigns across digital and print.
- Deliver native advertising campaigns and bespoke commercial content.
- Coordinate multiple concurrent projects with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
- Oversee budgets, forecasting, and project financials, including P&L management.
- Monitor campaign performance and reporting, including social media and digital analytics.
- Collaborate with editorial, creative, production, commercial, and technical teams.
- Manage campaign delivery from planning through to final execution.
- Provide regular project updates to stakeholders and clients.
- Support commercial photo and video shoots where required.

Essential Experience
- Proven Project Management experience within digital advertising, publishing, media, or an agency environment.
- Minimum 18 months' experience working within a publication or publisher.
- Strong understanding of branded content and native advertising.
- Print production experience.
- Experience managing projects from concept through delivery using recognised project management methodologies.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong financial management experience, including budgets and forecasting.
- Excellent client and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with CMS platforms to create or manage editorial content.
- Good understanding of SEO principles, including metadata, keywords, and link equity.
- Experience using Google Analytics to report on digital campaign performance.
- Experience with Google Workspace and project management tools.
- Strong communication, presentation, and organisational skills.
- Highly detail-oriented, proactive, and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
