Working Pattern: 3-4 days per week (rolling contract), with 1–2 days based in the Battersea office.
Potential: Opportunity to become a full-time permanent position for the right candidate.
The Company
Our Client is a global fashion supplier working with leading high street retailers across multiple product categories. With their own manufacturing facilities in Bangladesh, they design and develop commercially successful collections for a broad customer base.
We are looking for an experienced Freelance Senior Womenswear Designer (or an established Womenswear Designer ready to take the next step) with a strong background in Soft Wovens.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded designer with a passion for creating beautiful, wearable collections.

Key Responsibilities
- Research seasonal trends, customer insights and market intelligence to create commercial collections.
- Design trend-led ranges for leading high street retail accounts.
- Produce CADs, technical packs and factory-ready specifications.
- Manage the design process from initial concept through to approval.
- Collaborate closely with mills, suppliers and product development teams.
- Support development trips and contribute to new product innovation.
- Monitor competitor activity and emerging fashion trends.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong Womenswear design experience, particularly within Soft Wovens.
- Experience designing for UK high street retailers.
- Excellent commercial awareness with strong trend forecasting skills.
- Strong CAD skills, garment construction knowledge and fabric expertise.
- Advanced Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects independently whilst working collaboratively within a team.
- Experience working with manufacturing facilities in Bangladesh would be advantageous.
